Second-hand baby clothes are our specialty, ages 0-3 years, and we choose only the best as Smiles-by-Post outfits. We aim to provide high quality goods for half to a third of new high street prices, on the theory that babies and small children grow out of clothes far faster than the clothes wear out. Our brands include Mothercare, Next, Laura Ashley, Monsoon, Gymboree, Baby Gap, as well as other high street names and some supermarket brands.

We will be selling off our stock and closing down the site over the next few months - so if you see something you like you might want to buy it sooner rather than later!

How to Order Baby Clothes: Click Add to Basket when you find an outfit, which will allow you to pay securely via credit card online through Paypal, even if you don't have a Paypal account. If you prefer to pay offline by cheque/postal order, Copy the Paypal checkout page with all your purchases and email it to us at sales@smiles-by-post.com, and we'll reply with mailing instructions. See the postage table above for our shipping costs--bundles of baby clothes are surprisingly heavy, but we have a built in cost incentive for larger orders. Although we are based in the UK, we also ship to Europe and the USA on request, please email your order for a shipping quote. Please also note all prices quoted are in UK pounds sterling.

We aim to dispatch orders within 48 hours. Small UK orders will be sent by first class post, larger orders will be sent by standard parcels service and may take upto 3-5 days after dispatch to arrive.

Condition: All baby clothes are washed in non-biological washing powder and hypoallergenic fabric conditioner and freshly ironed before dispatch. They are kept in a smoke-free, pet-free environment. Unless otherwise stated, our baby clothes are secondhand (used/preloved etc) but most of the items we choose have been worn/washed so little that they appear as new. However, certain fabrics such as fleece do show some bobbling after just one wash.

Items are subject to availability: The listings are unique, and we remove them from the site as soon as possible after someone orders them, but we reserve the right to cancel parts of orders if items are no longer available, and will refund accordingly.

We replace items shortly after they're bought in order to maintain as wide a range of items as possible - so do check back regularly to see what's new!

Other policies: For offline orders, we will wait until cheques clear before shipping. Unfortunately returns can only be allowed at our discretion for instances such as misdescription of item, though this policy does not affect your statutory UK consumer rights.
